As a Mead newborn photographer, I couldn’t get any luckier than working with this sweet baby girl. Her mama, a fellow photographer, lives just three minutes away from my studio.
When they arrived, the little one pretended for a minute that she was going to give me a run for my money. However, after I wrapped her a bit, she settled right in and was so sleepy and content for the remainder of her newborn photo session.
I recently received this amazing blue floral fabric and knew I had to use it. Her mom loved it as much as I do. While it might not be a common opinion, I think blue is one of the prettiest colors for setups for girls. It is so soft and typically shows off their rosy cheeks, just as it did for this sweet babe. Honestly, I could have done her entire session on this fabric.
We also used creams and rust for her other looks, and I don’t think there is a color she wouldn’t have looked adorable in.
I am a sucker for a squishy baby—there’s something about those rolls that is simply irresistible.
For those interested, newborn sessions are ideally scheduled when your baby is between 5-14 days of age, but we can always try to accommodate older babies. My schedule fills up months in advance due to the nature of timing in babies’ arrivals, so make sure to book your due date once you are in your second trimester.
