From flaky toes and wrinkled fingers to sleepy lashes and tiny expressions, the newborn days are made up of details that change almost overnight. It is a brief season filled with moments you do not yet realize you will miss until they are already gone.
As a Denver newborn photographer specializing in studio newborn photography, I create timeless imagery guided thoughtfully around comfort, connection, and the tiny details that pass quickly in the first weeks of life. Sessions take place in my dedicated newborn studio, thoughtfully designed for comfort, safety, and a calm, baby-led experience. Families travel from across the Denver metro area and Northern Colorado for a newborn photography experience that feels intentional, unrushed, and centered on connection. This approach results in soft, organic photographs you will return to with meaning for years to come.
Whether this is your first baby or your fifth, newborn photos should never feel overwhelming. My approach is gentle, baby-led, and thoughtfully paced — allowing time for feeding, soothing, and settling as needed throughout the session.
From the moment you book, you’ll be guided through each step of the experience. All wraps, textures, and styling are provided, and your baby is carefully posed with comfort and safety as the top priorities. There’s nothing extra to prepare or manage — everything is intentionally handled for you.

Studio newborn photography capturing the quiet beauty of your baby’s first weeks.
Many families travel from across the Denver metro area — including Boulder, Broomfield, Erie, and surrounding communities — for a studio newborn photography experience that feels calm, unrushed, and intentionally guided. With a space designed specifically for newborn comfort and safety, sessions are paced around each baby rather than a rigid schedule.
Newborn sessions take place in my dedicated studio, intentionally designed specifically for newborn comfort and safety. Created exclusively for studio newborn photography, the space is warm, quiet, and thoughtfully prepared to support a calm, baby-led experience.
Located in Loveland, Colorado, the studio welcomes families traveling from across the Denver metro area and surrounding Northern Colorado communities. With a controlled environment and consistent, soft lighting, each session is guided gently and unrushed — allowing your baby the time and space needed to settle naturally.
This dedicated studio setting ensures timeless imagery while keeping your newborn’s comfort at the center of every moment.
These early days pass quietly and quickly. The flaky toes, soft curls, and tiny hands you trace now will soon give way to growth and change. Newborn photography allows you to hold onto the smallest parts of this season — long after it has passed.
"The photos Amanda took are so special to us! Babies grow so fast and we’re thankful for the way she captured the tiniest, sweetest details while our baby was still so little. It was easy to schedule our session, and Amanda was amazing with our baby - able to get all the right poses and keep her calm during the entire session. She has a great assortment of props, outfits, bows & bonnets, and the coziest studio for baby and family portraits, and she also got our photos back to us so quickly. We loved our session and the photos that we now have of our baby and family!"

In-home newborn sessions focused on natural connection
STARTING AT 1090
Lifestyle newborn sessions are designed to document your family in a natural, unposed way, with a focus on connection, movement, and the quiet moments that unfold during the early days at home. These sessions take place in familiar spaces such as the nursery, bedroom, or living room, using natural light and gentle guidance to create images that feel honest and deeply personal.
While lifestyle newborn sessions traditionally happen in your home, a limited number of families choose a lifestyle-inspired approach within the studio. This option offers the same connection-focused feel in a clean, light-filled environment — allowing parents to be fully present without the need to prepare their home.
Lifestyle newborn sessions are limited in availability and offered selectively throughout the year.
Every family — and every newborn — is different. To keep your experience personal and cohesive, I offer a small selection of newborn photography sessions, each guided with the same calm, baby-led approach and timeless aesthetic.
Whether you’re drawn to a softly styled studio session or a more natural, connection-focused experience, each option is designed to allow space for comfort, flexibility, and meaningful detail.
Newborn photography invites you to notice the quiet details that are often overlooked in the early days — the way their fingers curl around yours, the softness of their hair, the weight of them resting against you. These small, ordinary moments are what give this season its meaning, and they’re often the ones parents find themselves returning to most.
I recommend reserving your newborn session during your second trimester to ensure availability. Rather than scheduling a specific date in advance, I reserve space around your due date on my calendar.
Once your baby arrives, we’ll choose the actual session date together — typically within the first one to three weeks — depending on how both mom and baby are feeling. This flexible approach supports a calm, supported experience during those early days.
Once your session is reserved, you’ll receive a simple prep guide tailored to your newborn experience. It walks you through what to expect and how to arrive feeling prepared and at ease.
All wraps, layers, and a thoughtfully curated collection of custom knit newborn pieces and studio elements selected specifically with newborn safety and comfort in mind are provided. The studio is intentionally designed for newborn photography, creating a warm, calm environment where every detail is handled in advance so your session feels seamless and unhurried.
Your only role is to bring your baby and allow yourself to be present in the moment.
To provide a calm, personalized experience, I accept a limited number of newborn sessions each month. This allows flexibility around due dates and ensures each family receives the time, care, and attention they deserve.
If you’d like a more detailed overview of timing, preparation, and what to expect, you can explore the full Denver newborn photography guide here.
Newborn sessions are intentionally limited each month to allow flexibility, care, and presence during these earliest days. Because sessions are scheduled around your due date rather than a fixed calendar date, most Denver families reserve their newborn photography experience during the second or early third trimester to ensure availability.
If you are still in the midst of pregnancy, maternity and newborn sessions may be reserved together to create a seamless experience from one season to the next.
The newborn season passes quietly — but the photographs remain. These images become a reminder of how small your baby once was and the connection that shaped the beginning of your family’s story.
Newborn photography is often the beginning of a longer journey. Many families return for milestone and first birthday sessions as their baby grows throughout the first year, and later for family photography sessions that continue documenting each season together.
If you’re ready to document this chapter with care, simplicity, and intention, I would be honored to photograph this season for your family.
Preparing for your newborn photography session is simple and intentionally stress-free. Because sessions take place in my Loveland studio and welcome families traveling from Denver and throughout Northern Colorado, everything is thoughtfully handled for you.
Newborn sessions are typically scheduled within the first one to three weeks after birth and last approximately two to three hours. This allows time for feeding, soothing, and gentle settling without rushing your baby.
Before your session, you’ll receive a detailed preparation guide covering:
• When to feed your baby before arrival
• What parents and siblings should wear
• How to keep baby comfortable before the session
• What to bring (though most styling is provided)
The studio is kept warm to ensure newborn comfort, and every pose is guided gently with safety as the highest priority. My approach is calm, patient, and entirely baby-led — allowing space for natural breaks and flexibility as needed.
