Planning a Colorado pregnancy photoshoot? Here’s what every expecting mom should know to feel confident, prepared, and beautifully seen—whether you’re in Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins, or the foothills—for a stunning and memorable pregnancy photography experience.
The ideal time for maternity photos is between 28–34 weeks. Your bump has that beautiful round shape, and you’re usually still feeling comfortable enough to move and enjoy the experience.
Expecting twins or navigating a high-risk pregnancy? Consider booking a bit earlier—around 26–30 weeks—to make the most of your session.

What you wear plays a big role in both your confidence and how your photos turn out. Here’s how to choose the best outfit based on your session location:
Colorado’s golden light and natural landscapes pair best with:
Avoid: Bright whites, neon colors, or stiff fabrics that can clash with the landscape or lighting.
Studio maternity photos are clean, light-filled, and intimate. I recommend:
Stick to neutral tones like ivory, mocha, warm gray, soft blue, or navy to enhance the airy feel of the studio.
Need help deciding? I offer a full client closet with hand-selected dresses and outfit pieces for your pregnancy photoshoot.
Absolutely.
Including your partner or older children makes the session even more meaningful and adds emotional depth.
Whether it’s your first baby or your fifth, we’ll capture with a skilled photographer to ensure every moment is memorable,
You’re not just documenting your bump with maternity photography—you’re capturing your family’s story in the making.

Locations shape the mood of your session. Think about the feeling you want—quiet, wild, modern, romantic—and I’ll help you choose the perfect backdrop.
A few client favorites include:
We’ll choose a setting that reflects your vision and creates space to connect and breathe during your session.
Most moms tell me they’re a little nervous before their session.
That’s completely normal—and I’ll guide you every step of the way.
I focus on:
As a mom of five, I know this season can feel overwhelming.
But I also know how quickly it passes.
These images will help you remember not just what you looked like—but how loved and grounded you felt.

While you’re planning your Colorado pregnancy photoshoot, it’s the perfect time to think ahead to your baby’s arrival.
By pairing your session with a newborn photoshoot, you’ll create a complete experience that captures both the anticipation and the early days of your baby’s life.
I offer three types of newborn sessions:
Many families choose the Bump to Bebe Collection to bundle both sessions together, creating a seamless and meaningful journey from bump to baby.
How much do maternity photos cost?
Maternity photography pricing can vary depending on location, experience, and what’s included. My maternity sessions start at $790, and many families bundle them with a newborn session through the Bump to Bebe Collection. This includes wardrobe access, planning support, and a curated experience from bump to baby.
Can I still book if I’m already 35 weeks pregnant? Yes! If I have space, I’ll do my best to accommodate a last-minute session.
What if I don’t feel confident in how I look? You’re not alone. Most of the moms I photograph feel unsure at first—but they end up loving how their photos reflect their strength and beauty.
Can I wear multiple outfits? Absolutely. Many clients choose one casual and one more styled look, especially if we’re using more than one location.

Whether you’re dreaming of mountain views, a family photoshoot, or studio simplicity, I’ll help guide you through every detail—from what to wear to where we shoot.
