The newborn days pass quietly and quickly. From tiny fingers and sleepy lashes to the way your baby fits perfectly in your arms, this season is made up of details that change almost overnight.
Newborn photography is about more than documenting how small your baby once was — it’s about creating space to slow down and remember what these early weeks felt like. The calm. The adjustment. The connection.
As a Denver and Northern Colorado newborn photographer, I offer a thoughtfully guided newborn photography experience designed to feel unhurried, comfortable, and deeply personal.

Many parents arrive feeling tired, unsure, or overwhelmed — and that’s completely expected. My role is to guide the session gently, creating a calm environment where you don’t need to perform or worry about getting everything “right.”
Newborn sessions are paced around your baby’s needs, with time built in for feeding, soothing, and breaks. There is no rushing and no pressure to force poses. Each session unfolds naturally, allowing space for comfort, connection, and quiet moments.
The focus stays on your baby and your family — not on props or perfection.
Most families reach out during the second or early third trimester to reserve space on my calendar. Newborn sessions are booked based on your due date, with flexibility built in once your baby arrives.
Because newborns follow their own timelines, sessions are typically photographed within the first two to three weeks after birth, when babies are still very sleepy and naturally curled.
I take on a limited number of newborn sessions each month to ensure every family receives the care and attention this season deserves.
Newborn photography sessions are offered in two settings, depending on the experience you’re drawn to:
Both options are guided with the same care and intention — the difference lies in setting, not quality or attention.

Every newborn is different. Some babies love being swaddled, others prefer more freedom. Some need extra time to settle, while others drift easily into sleep.
Sessions are always led by your baby’s cues. Feeding, soothing, and breaks are welcomed and expected. This flexibility allows the experience to feel relaxed and supportive — especially during those early weeks of adjustment.
Parents are gently guided throughout the session so nothing feels stiff or uncomfortable. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do — I’ll take care of that for you.
These images often become the ones families return to years later — a reminder of how small your baby once was and how tender those first weeks felt.
Long after the exhaustion fades and routines settle, the photographs remain. They become part of your family’s story, holding details you didn’t realize you’d miss until they were already gone.
Newborn photography sessions are offered throughout Denver, Fort Collins, Loveland, and Northern Colorado, with both studio and in-home options available.
If you’re expecting and would like to reserve a newborn session, I recommend reaching out during pregnancy to ensure availability around your due date.
When you’re ready, I’d love to help you document this season with care, simplicity, and intention.
If you’re also considering maternity photos, many families begin with a studio or outdoor maternity session and continue with newborn photography to create a seamless story from pregnancy to baby.
