Colorado Mountain Family Photos with Some of My Favorites
Josh, Candace, and their kids make my job as a Colorado family photographer a joy every single time. They are an effortlessly beautiful family, and their love for each other truly shines through the lens. They never shy away from being affectionate, allowing their genuine connections to tell their story in every photo. I first met Josh and Candace when they were expecting their oldest, “G,” and it’s been a privilege to capture so many of their milestones, from maternity to newborn photos, cake smashes, and now annual family photos. Watching their family grow has been a highlight of my career.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
For this session, we chose one of my favorite locations for Colorado mountain family photos—Roosevelt National Park. This particular spot has become my most requested location for Northern Colorado families in the 2024 fall season, and it’s easy to see why. The mountain views are simply breathtaking, and the fallen tree logs scattered around make the perfect playground for kids, who love climbing and exploring the area. It brings a natural, adventurous element to each session, letting the kids have fun while I capture those candid, joyful moments.
Josh and Candace chose a color palette of navy blues and warm browns, which complemented the mountain backdrop beautifully. These colors added a timeless feel to the photos, while also blending effortlessly with the natural surroundings. The photos from this session reflect everything I love about my work as a Colorado family photographer: the beautiful mountain scenery, kids exploring and having fun, and the genuine love between family members.
ALL THE LOVE IN THESE COLORADO MOUNTAIN FAMILY PHOTOS
This was one of my favorite Denver family photo sessions with Josh and Candace. Each session with them reminds me why I love capturing Denver families so much—the stunning landscapes, the fresh mountain air, and the families who make these moments so memorable.
