Mama, you’re in your most exciting season yet and I’m here to capture it with a memorable maternity shoot. Right now, you may feel overwhelmed by morning sickness and tiredness. But then, you feel those tiny kicks. These moments remind you that your baby is growing!
Planning photos during pregnancy might seem like a crazy idea at first. However, as you feel more comfortable and your morning sickness eases, this can be a great experience. It can help you feel even more connected to your baby! Taking that moment to soak it all in is something every expecting mama deserves!
That bump will soon transform into a curled-up baby on your chest, and those fluttery kicks will become a fading memory. Maternity photos show this change. They can capture the joy of your rounded bump or the excitement of older siblings. Each maternity photo tells the story of love, emotion, and the unique journey that brought you to this moment.
For some, the journey to pregnancy happened sooner than they thought. For others, it took years of waiting and hard work through infertility. Maybe this is your first pregnancy or this is your last baby, each one is so different and so incredibly special. No matter your story, you should celebrate and remember this season.

The best time to schedule your maternity photos is typically at the beginning of your third trimester. Weeks 28-34 seem to be that sweet spot for most of my expecting Mamas.
At this stage, your bump is round and noticeable. You can still move around comfortably and enjoy the experience. I know this was the stage of pregnancy that I had a lot of energy and loved the look of my bump at this point.
Every pregnancy is different, so we can adjust based on your comfort and preferences. We also want to complete your maternity photo session before 34 weeks in case of an early delivery. From experience first time moms photograph better closer to 32 weeks of pregnancy. I highly recommend reserving your session date once you are in your second trimester!
Wardrobe plays a significant role in creating the aesthetic for your maternity portraits. My studio provides a full line of custom maternity gowns that you will have full access to. Whether you love wearing a gown or prefer a casual look, I am here to help you perfect your style for great photos.
Colorado offers some of the most breathtaking backdrops for your pregnancy photoshoot. I have a list of beautiful places in Northern Colorado for you. You can enjoy the beauty at home or visit scenic spots. Here are a few top recommendations:
Studio Sessions: If you like a modern and classic look, an all-white studio is ideal. It keeps the focus on emotions in your photos. These are quickly becoming my most requested maternity photo sessions.
Estes Park: Ideal for mountain maternity photos with flowing gowns and golden sunsets.
Golden: Red Rocks, need I say more? Gorgeous in the fall with vibrant colors and open fields.
Boulder Flatirons: A classic choice with stunning views and a modern outdoor vibe.
Horsetooth Reservoir: A client favorite all year-round with the dramatic front range backdrops reflecting off the lake. A perfect location all year-round.
Pregnancy is a season unlike any other. You are creating life, and that is nothing short of amazing. Documenting this time before your due date allows you to look back and remember the strength and beauty of your journey.
I want your maternity session to show the love and connection in your family. It doesn’t matter if you take them in the mountains, in a clean studio, or during timeless family portraits. My goal is to capture what makes your family special.
