Answering my most asked Denver newborn photography questions! As a newborn photographer for over fifteen years, these are what my clients are asking.
Welcoming a new baby is an incredible experience, and capturing those early days is a wonderful way to preserve cherished memories. I hope these help in planning your session.
A: Many families choose to capture newborn photos in a Denver studio (or at home) within the first 5–14 days of life. Babies tend to be sleepier during this window, making it easier to pose them in those sweet, curled-up positions. However, if you’ve passed that timeframe, don’t worry—you can still get beautiful photos at any stage.
A: It depends on the style and atmosphere you prefer:
A: For newborn photos in a Denver studio, all you need to bring is your baby, the essentials (diapers, wipes, extra clothes), and any meaningful keepsakes. I have wraps, blankets, and other props ready to go. The studio is kept warm to help your little one stay calm and sleepy.
A: It’s completely normal for newborns to need feeding, comforting, or a break. I always allow extra time for soothing and cuddling. If your baby is awake, we’ll capture adorable wide-eyed shots; if they’re sleepy, we’ll capture those sweet, snuggly poses. Either way, you’ll get beautiful images that celebrate your baby’s unique personality. All clients are sent a session prep guide that will aide in a sleepy baby.
A: Yes! As one of the seasoned newborn photographers in Denver, I have a curated selection of props, soft fabrics, wraps, headbands, and accessories for your session. If you have personal items—like a meaningful quilt, heirloom, or special outfit—you’d like to incorporate, I’m happy to include those, if possible. My selection offers almost every color that you could want!
A: I carefully edit each image to enhance lighting, color balance, and those tiny newborn details. You can typically expect your final, password-protected online gallery within 2–3 weeks. You’ll be able to download your high-resolution images, order prints, and share with loved ones easily.
A: Absolutely! Both in-studio and in-home session types offer collections that include parents, siblings, and other family members. I always recommend adding family members to your Denver newborn photography experience—those connections and interactions make the images even more meaningful.
A: If you’d like to schedule your session or have any additional questions, feel free to contact me here or email me at organicbebestudio@gmail.com. I recommend reserving your session once you are in your second trimester. I am typically booked months in advance and this will ensure my availability for your due date.
Capturing the precious first days with your newborn is an investment in memories you’ll treasure for a lifetime. Whether you choose newborn photos in a Denver studio or a relaxed at-home session, thoughtful planning and an experienced photographer will help create a collection that celebrates your growing family in every way.
